Hello blog world!  As you know I am on an editing frenzy.  So many pictures…so little time.  That’s my new slogan.  Anyways I am so excited to post the Napoli family’s sneak peek.  These photos came close to not happening…thanks to our little friend named rain.  But the day turned out to be PERFECT!  This session was so much fun because it was actually 2 families!  The more the merrier if you ask me.  So enjoy this little tidbit and stay tuned for many more!

This will be my last post for a few days as I am off to forge the raging river via canoe.  Wish me luck…my paddling skills are sub par.  I will apologize for my upcoming lack of posts but I promise you lots of fun-filled family photos when I return.  And maybe even some super awesome shots of my canoeing skills…if you’re lucky.  Until then…

It’s Monday…I’m coming off one the busiest weekends I’ve ever had.  But I must say…I am loving it.  I have more editing in front of me than I know what to do with…but fear not…I’ll get it done.  Because that’s how I roll.  In the meantime I thought I would share Part 2 of the amazing Smithe Family.  I won’t babble since I pretty much said it all in part 1.  Enjoy…

Well…that officially wraps up the Smithe Family photos!  The best thing about my job is getting to meet so many awesome people…and the Smithe’s are no exception.   I feel like I’ve known them for years and I hope that I actually get to!  This family is truly one of a kind and I can’t wait for the chance to photograph them again!!!  To all the Smithe’s – I love you guys!!!!!

Happy Monday everyone…

This is my first official 2 part blog post.  Most of the time blogs are in 2 parts for weddings and such…and this event was equally as grand.  My friend Maureen and her sisters put together this AMAZING birthday party for their mom, Mary.  Just imagine sipping cocktails…next to a pond…while the sun is setting…oh, and there’s a hammock! This was by far one of the coolest events I’ve had the opportunity to shoot.  I gave a sneak peek a few posts back…and now I give you the mother-load!  Well…at least part 1….

Amazing photos of an amazing family event!ReplyCancel

A while back I took family photos of Maureen and her family.   It is still to this day one of my favorite sessions.  I couldn’t get over the bright, beautiful blue eyes they all had (a photographer’s dream).   Well…now take Maureen’s family and multiply it by 5 and you’ll get the session I’m blogging about today.  Maureen and her sisters planned this AMAZING birthday party for their mom (Mary).  It was the perfect night and the perfect setting and it couldn’t have turned out better.   This family was so much fun to photograph and I’m so happy I got to be there to document this picturesque evening.  So here’s a sneak peek…

This is Mary (the birthday girl) and her grandson Mack…

And then finally…the whole Smithe clan…they are one good looking family….

That’s all I’ve got for now…but there will be MANY more to come…stay tuned….

The color pic of Evelyn is amazing!! You caught her sense of wonder, combined with the innocence of a little girl absolutely perfectly. Way to go Lauren!ReplyCancel

Last week I put up a sneak peak of the Macks…I had mentioned in that post how incredibly hard these photos were to edit.  I have been working on them non stop and I am just now finished!  This is definitely going to be the biggest post…image wise…I’ve ever posted.  So get ready!  🙂

Mallory (the mom in the photos) and I have been friends for a VERY long time.  She is a big part of some of my favorite memories…and I feel so lucky that I got the chance to photograph her family.  It’s so bizarre when I stop to think about it…because when you’re younger you talk to your girlfriends about what your wedding is going to look like and what you’re going to name your kids.  You sit around at sleepovers and plan out your soon to be perfect life….and now…years later…here I am documenting what we used to sit around and day dream about.  I’m going through these photos and looking at her picture perfect (no pun intended) family and her freakin’ adorable little boy and I just can’t help but smile.  The inevitable has come and we are grown ups.  And our picture perfect lives are unfolding in front of us.  So…here is picture proof of what used to seem so far away….Enjoy!

He had the cutest little crooked smile.  He’s gonna be a heart-breaker…

Are they not the cutest father-son duo ever!

There was a giant doughnut in the middle of this park…enough said!  🙂

So in love…

We found this little mini-village and there was a jail.  So cute…

Kids and ice cream….a dynamic duo.

So there they are!   All 24905802345209485 of them!  😉  Hopefully now you can understand why it was so hard to edit these…have a good one!

Absolutely beautiful! What a neat family and you have really captured that. That little boy is so cool! Keep up the great work Lauren. I will see you in a few months in Indy at Josh’s wedding.
